HIDING SOMETHING.

Sometimes because of pride or ego or a mistaken idea, one person may not confide in another or tell them the whole truth. Have you ever been in a situation in which you didn’t want the other person to know something about you? You had something you wanted to keep secret? How did you act? Did the other person realize you were hiding something? How did your behavior change the way they acted toward you?

Well I don't really have experiences just like that, but when I am hiding things from my mom I probably act different. Especially if my mom will bring something up that is really close to what I was hiding. I don't keep that much from my parents. But when I do my mom probably realizes that I am hiding something cause I will probably act different.

If you are trying to keep a secret from someone and they think you are hiding something they will probably act very suspicious around you. But so will the person with the secret. Secrets can just be very bad. Because if your hiding a secret and that person gets suspicious that you are hiding something from them, then you might tell them that secret.

Secrets are good and bad. They could go both ways. If you have a secret though its probably not the best idea to go up to one of your friends and be like I have a secret and then not tell them but just act all suspicious about it. It might not be the best thing...

TEENS TOP TEN BOOKS- Paper Towns

I have not read any of those books. The book that sounds pretty interesting to me is Paper Towns. It sounds like a very intense book filled of love, mystery and just... in tenseness! This girl that left her old guy best friend a ton of years ago just showed up at her house and says lets go for an all night drive... But then she disappears.

I really want to read this book. It sounds like I could expect something really good from this book. I think that some reasons that kids posted this book in the top tens was cause like I said it just seems very intense and romancey. They said that Paper towns is a back that the teen thinks deeper and harder about the beautiful and terrifying ways we can and cannot know those we love. Paper towns probably in the top ten for a reason. I'm going to read it!

EDGAR ALLEN POE

It seems like reading Edgar Allan Poe stories around Halloween is a rite of passage for students in English classes. He wrote poems such as "The Raven" and "Annabel Lee" and stories like "The Tell-Tale Heart", "The Black Cat", "The Fall of the House of Usher", "The Cask of Amontillado", "The Masque of the Red Death", "The Pit and the Pendulum", etc.If you have read Poe stories before, which ones have you read and what do you remember of them? Did you like them? How scary/creepy were they? I have read a few Edgar Allen Poe stories. I do not remember it cause I was probably not paying attention. Or I just didn't like the story so I didn't listen. Who knows... What I think i will be hearing from his stories will probably just really creep me out. I do not like being scared so it will probably just not be good.

Since he is a classic horror writer that probably means he is really good at writing scary things and or good at scaring people. I have read scary stories before and I just usually stop reading them cause I think there lame or just scary. I guess for people that like scary stories will think he is a really great writer. But for me, I'm not sure. We will just have to wait and see.

SKUNKS EYES

A couple of years ago there this ugly dog contest and the winner of the contest everybody thought it was the most ugliest thing ever. But I for some odd strange reason I thought it was really cute. It had really pretty green eyes and it was just so tiny! It had some of the prettiest brown hair I have ever seen on a dog. I have never understood why everyone thought that it was ugly.

Sometimes when you look at something and think why does everyone think its ugly except for me. It's just because you have different taste in things. I think the reason I think its so cute is cause it had green eyes. The dog was ugly actually, But it was just so pretty.

PETS POINT OF VIEW

Why do they keep doing that to there hair. They do it every morning and sometimes it looks different then other times. They get up then they go into this room and look at there selves in the mirror and play with their hair. It's so weird I never do that. I just get up and go play. They do all this stuff before they play.

They take this big thing that is really loud and blows their hair everywhere! Who does that!? Surely not me.. It takes them forever and when she is done she usually goes, "wow what a bad hair day". Or, "cute! My hair looks awesome today". I think that I look the same everyday. Wow humans are weird.

SECRETS

Have you ever known a secret that you thought you should tell? Did you tell? If you've never experienced this, what do you think it would be like to know a secret that you think is dangerous?

Yes, I have had a secret that I thought i should tell. I did tell it because the person that they told me not to tell was an older person and so I told because they really should of known. It was not one of those secrets that if you tell that person would die or anything. It was just one of those things that they should not of done and said that effected all of us. I'm good at keeping secrets but this one the person was not like this is my biggest secret ever don't tell anyone.

But if I knew a secret that was really really dangerous I don't know what I would do. I can keep secrets but if it was dangerous I would want to say something. It just depends on what the dangerous secret was. Telling secrets could be a good thing or a bad thing. You could make the situation better and safer or worse and you could loose a friend by not keeping their secret.

Perspective of Friar Laurence

Write a journal from the perspective of Romeo, Juliet, Friar Laurence or Nurse. It should take place after the end of Act II when Romeo and Juliet have been secretly married. Remember, you ARE this person writing what they would be thinking and feeling at this time. 3 PARAGRAPHS!

Maybe this will all work out in the end. Maybe it will make things come to peace. But what if when the parents find out that they have been wedded and that I have helped them out I will get in trouble. I was only trying to make peace in there two households and do something that will make them really happy.

The two families hate each other and now.. now their prized possessions fell in love and are getting married. I hope that Romeo's parents wont think that I have betrayed them in anyway. I'm only doing what I think is best for the families.

I can't resist seeing the two kids that are madly in love with each other not get married if they want to. The parents should be happy for them, and support them in everything. Even when they find out the they got married they can be mad but they need to try and get along. I'm helping Romeo because he has totally forgotten about Rosaline and moved on. They was such compromise because of her. This is for the best.

FATE

Do you believe in Fate? Are there certain things in life that, once set in motion, are inevitable; things that cannot be stopped once they are started? The story of Romeo and Juliet implies that the path of their love and what happens to them is part of Fate's plan. Do you think this is possible?

I think that in some incidents that it is true. Alot of things do happen for a reason. But other things its just a coincidence. Fate just depends on the fact of what it is. It is something that for some people they all just believe that since something happened to them then it turned out way good from a certain reason it was fate. But for others it's just a coincidence.

In the story of Romeo and Juliet how they say that its fates plan and that's its all happening for a reason. It probably is and to them it probably is true. For some people like i said is just a coincidence. Since there falling in love with each other and everything goes bad then it just turns out good sounds like fate.

Benvolio

I can't seem to keep the peace with Romeo. He is so in love with Rosaline. I'm trying to keep I'm thinking about other things but his mind just runs off. I think that I am going to take him to the Capulet party and see what that helps with. I am so sick of him talking about how much he is in love with Rosaline. Everybody seems to just keep fighting cause of it and I am sick of it.

Romeo just thinks that he is right and everyone is wrong and that Rosaline is the only person for him. He needs to know that there is other people out there for him, and what he is doing is making every fight! The thing is is that Rosaline doesn't even love him and he is going through all of this for someone who doesn't like him! That's why I think the Capulet party is going to distract him. It will be good for him.

True love

9Th grade:Define true love. Do you believe it exists?(Hint: have you ever seen it? give an example. Why do you believe/not believe in it?)

I don't think true love exists when your young. When you get older and getting married I think it exists. I believe that true love happens when your older. But I don't believe it really happens when your younger.

Its hard to explain cause its just your personal thing. But true love is "true" cause why else would people want to be with each other forever and ever? Why else would people fall in love if it didn't exist? That's why everybody gets butterflies when they see a certain person or something like that. I think It exists, just not while we younger.

SUPERPOWER!

8Th AND 9Th grade:If you had one superpower, what would it be and why? (Hint: describe exactly what your power would be, why you would want that one, what you would use your power for, etc. Would you be good or evil? Would you use it just for fun or for a good cause?)

If I had a superpower I would want to be a Ms Flexible!! I would want to be one of those because in the Incredibles that flexible person was awesome! Also being flexible looks cool and you can get trough and under things very easily cause you can bend. I would want to be good. Not evil. I probably would use my powers for finding children in small tight spaces.

I'm not sure if I would use it for a good cause. I would if I had to like I said get children in tight spaces. But I think it would be super fun to be flexible you could be in the Olympics and dance really good!! I think I would do it for both good causes and just to have fun. But probably more just to have fun!

Shakespeare

Well, It sounds complicated so I just say blek. I don't like reading stuff that's hard to understand. I have never had a past experience its just what people say about it makes me not really want to read it. I guess I'm actually kind of excited.

Sometimes it just takes me awhile to get into a book like this, but that's only cause I'm being forced to read it. So it takes me awhile. I think it might be fun but we'll just have to see about that. The acting part will be interesting and funny to see people do. So I'm excited for the Shakespeare part, but not at the same time.
